I'm sure we have all dreamed of having some sort of great adventure at some time in our lives, but for most of us it usually just remains a dream. Here is someone who has decided to make that dream come true.

Sean Jordan is the son of two of my best friends back in Canada. He quit his job as a software web designer and is travelling around the world on his Vespa - yes, his Vespa. He started from Belgrade, Serbia in June, 2010 and hopes to finish in August 2011. He is currently in India. You can follow the links in the news article to the story in the Hindustan Times, but also check out the links to his blog "The Vespa360 Project" as well as his facebook page. His articles about his travel experiences are enjoyable, entertaining, and in some cases down-right hilarious! He also has a lot of great photos of where he and the vespa have been. I've been following his adventures since his parents told me what he was doing. It seems he is becoming a minor celebrity where he goes. Enjoy!

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Why on earth would someone do this on a vespa? I always wanted to do something like that, the best I could muster was riding my Ducati across the U.S.. I had a friend who I watched the documentary Long Way Around (great film about two friends riding their motorcycles literally around the world) and afterwards, he actually tried to ride from Dubai to London. As it turns out it's not as easy as it sounds lol.

It's already been done by Jim Rogers with a lot more impressive equipment,

but I wish him luck. If I was younger (and richer) I would love to do that.

Went through many of the pics and it struck me how often he had to fix the Vespa.

Rogers' bikes were Beemers; yet he also had lots of repairs in his travels.
