Check this link. It gives the requirements for a marriage license, and how to have a civil marriage.

After you are married, your hubby will have to apply to adjust your status. Plenty of good info on the VJ site for your application. Good luck to you and Mabuhay ng USA!

If you want you can go get your Social Security number (SSN) after being in the US for a week or two. If you decide to get your SSN do it before you get married or before 74 days of being in the US. You will have to wait till you get your EAD/Greencard to get the SSN if you wait too long or get married. After you get your GreenCard you can get a new card without the work authorization red letters on it.

Otherwise get to know each other and get married. The Adjustment of Status will come soon enough.

The next steps are getting married, have your husband pay for a new house for your parents in PI, pay for your nieces private schooling, business for sister, etc. I'm joking

Welcome to America! Enjoy your first Christmas here.

Good call! Get your SSN card in 7-10 days then your marriage when you like (before 90 days). Your life will be so much easier with a card.

Oh I forgot 1 thing.............WELCOME to the USA!
