Fingerprinting question???????

I was fingerprinted about 2 months ago and haven`t heard anything about the fingerprinting since, and on this forum I see that many people received some notice, usually several days after their fingerprinting, saying that their fingerprints were received.

Does everyone usually receive a notice that fingerprints are received?

One day after FP i485 case underwent internal update, next date there was another update, roughly 2 weeks later we received interview appointment.

No correspondence regarding FP was ever issued.

Of course, this was for non-DORA i485.

I have never heard that AOS applicants get anything after getting fingerprint. We did not! I do not know if applicants going through the D.O.R.A. program do receive any information.

We didn't receive anything after the fingerprints either, except for the interview date, of course.

No, they don't send out announcements about fingerprints being received since they are done at their own facilities. What you may be thinking about are people who report that their files are 'touched' after their biometrics? This means that when you check your online status account it will show the date that the file was last opened by USCIS. This date can change even when the status of the file doesn't. That is being called 'touched'. You only receive notices when the status changes, and not when the file is touched. That you keep track of yourself by regular checking. Hope this clarifies things.

We didn't receive any notice after the fingerprints were done, either. Our 485 update date was changed to the date they were done, though. Strangely, the EAD and AP update dates didn't change.
