Question regarding attempted expedite with USCIS

Im not sure a credit check is the only check, as I know of petitioners being bankrupt, had a co sponsor, and still been approved. However said individuals didnt apply for expedites.

This is what I'm concerned about. My wife has no income at present (mainly due to her illness the past few years), but her father is willing to be our co-sponsor and he earns more than enough. Wondering if this could cause us any problems? We are planning on putting our expedite request in any day now,...

Petiioner's credit history should not affect the immigrant visa sponsorship.

Petitioner must have income above the poverty line for the last and current year of AOS execution.

If not, other options are:

1) Co-sponsors

2) Petitioner's asset

3) Beneficiary's asset

4) Beneficiary's income if it still continue even after beneficiary's migration to the U.S.

Also just wondering mate,

Has your wife sent you all the I-864 related stuff so you can forward them to the embassy when requested? Wondering how your wife sent those docs over to you, cos I'd like to know the safest option when the time comes lol. Not sure if regular USPS mail would suffice?

I've had all of the AOS stuff for about a week or so now and the interview confirmation email came this morning.

It depends how prepared you are and how your case is going. Ours went thru pretty smoothly looking back - as soo as our case # was assigned we were expedited to the embassy. Time started to run out so my wife fed ex'd the package - mainly because I'd already sent my IV documents to her so I needed both packages pretty quick. For a 2 day fed ex service it cost about fifty quid, but it was worth it for peace of mind as I was fretting about my civil documents going missing. USPS is ok. But better than royal mail. Plus if you get expedited, you'll be nearing the xmas post or just after - and the royal mail take forever!!

If you have time - get the i864 and ds 230 and ds 2001 done now. The i864 I still have no clue about nor the 864a - its all foreign to me!!! But the ds230 is easy enough and the ds 2001 you will only need to do if the nvc expedites at the beginning as its basically a confirmation sheet to say you have all of your civil docs.

When you call the embassy for info and enquiries - you call the 09042 450 100 line and press either 3 or 4. Can't remember which one. After you've asked questions ask for a CIU number. This is a number that you put in the subject line when emailing. Without that # your email will be deleted unread. The good thing is that the number becomes specific to you so you can keep replying to the consular's email responses, as and when.
