I want to have a head start on my process. I am planning to ask my wife to send DS-230 to me. We are confused on question number 2, 31a. 31b, 33(course of study. One at the example form is old and filed by someone other than spouse. It would be awesome if someone post current DS-230(changing personal information) on the forum. We all would appreciate for your help.

I think you did not get what I meant. The sample of DS-230 form you gave the link, is not filed by spouse of U.S citizen. If you look at question #9, she chose single. Besides, that form is old and there is a new Ds-230 form available with new expiration date. I am looking for the form I can relate to my case. (Spouse of U.S citizen filing ds230). Thanks

The items you are questioning are not spouse specific. For 2, answer the same as on the beneficiary's G325a. The answer might be none. 31a and b ask if anybody listed in certain sections will be accompanying the immigrant (as an immigrant) to the USA, now or later. "NONE" is often the answer but if there's a child immigrating too, list the child. For 33, you simply answer the question. If you studied "accounting" so state. If "general" ok. For degree etc. the answer is either Degree, Diploma or NONE. If degree, you can add MS Degree etc. if you choose.

Again, none of this is spouse specific.

Thanks for your reply. Thanks for clearing question 31a and 31b. I would have made a mistake if you have not responded on that.I have another question. My wife has attended 3 different educational institution.

1st - upto class 10

2nd - class 11 and class 12

3rd - 3 year bachelor in management.

How I specify above education in terms of degree or diploma? Thanks in advance.

You answer with the truth. Do you want others to assume? I assume she didn't get a diploma for the first school, so "NONE", second was diploma and third BS or BA in Mgmt. as applicable. These are really easy questions. It's kind of like a job application.

You can fill this form out yourself but she has to sign it and it cannot be a copy.

Question # 14 - This would be your name

Question # 15/16 - This would be her Father name/Info

Question # 17/18 - This would be her Mother name/Info

If I had my husband sign the DS 230 form today and mail it to me it would arrive here in about 30 days. So let's say that my I-130 is approved around the end of December and his mailed form arrives here at the same time. Would it look weird if the date he signed it was Nov 22, 2010, but the form is submitted to NVC in January 2011?

Rather, what is latest date that the form can be signed and still be valid?

Thanks
