How can the rest of the world keep their citizens safe and airports secure without employing pedophilia and sexual assaults? We're being told that without these perverted measures, Americans are unsafe. Planes are just going to drop down from the sky like flies. Why does the same not happen in other countries? Supposedly, it's the Muslim extremists who are the main perpetrators of these terror acts. And they hate several other countries far more than they hate America. Good security will not come without peace. And peace will not come without justice. Pedophilia and sexual assaults isn't going to provide meaningful security or peace of mind.

India had more detailed security measures than the US when I have gone through their airport in Mumbai for departures in recent years(went in 2009 and earlier this year). Two security lines. One before getting into the gates area like in the US. And then one at your gate terminal, right before getting on the plane, where I have been patted down behind a curtain. I wouldn't say the pat down was very invasive though. It still seems like someone could hide something. No full body scanners. And yes, the reason is because they have had plenty of terrorist attacks in India and have ongoing tension with Pakistan.

I think it's common to have security at the gate again for flights to the US. I think the first time I had that in Amsterdam was in 2006. I flew from London to Amsterdam before heading back to the US just a few days after the water bottle bombing scare in London. Now they also question you and check out your passport there before you go through the security at the gate.

You request the pat down, but announce to them that you have a debilitating case of homophobia and since you cannot satisfactorily prove in this short time that you are not a homosexual, I require a female officer to inspect me.

This whole pat-down controversy could be easily squashed, if they simply hire strippers, dress them up in sexy cop costumes, and have THEM invite everybody for a pat down.
