I've seen examples of the scans and I think you're being a bit dramatic in saying that the whole experience is like someone handing out your naked picture to everyone around. I understand that people have different levels of comfort with these sorts of things. I would hope that you would understand that as well and that people who don't really have a problem with aren't lacking sense, maybe just have a different concept of modesty.

This is a sample picture from about 2 years ago. Since then, one can only assume the techology has gotten better and better. Even without the improvement, when you store the attached picture along with real picture and with names, it becomes massively more offensive. You can clearly see that this man has a small #######. Imagine the anxiety he'll fell knowing everyone who's flying with him knows this. And the same for people with big #######. Your sense of privacy is perhaps less conservative than the next person. Not everyone's going to agree with this sort of detail as you are seeing more and more in the news laterly. Sexual assult, pedophilia, and pornographic distribution of images by federal employees should be illegal.

These machines are a waste of money. Rafi Sela, a security expert of the arguably safest airport in the world, the Ben Gurion airport in Tel Aviv, Israel, puts it: "I don't know why everybody is running to buy these expensive and useless machines. I can overcome the body scanners with enough explosives to bring down a Boeing 747."

Interesting. What do you do when you go to the doctor? Have you never had any kind of checks in your "sensitive areas"? Of course, a TSA agent isn't quite a doctor, but if the intent is not sexual, then it's not sexual, IMO.

Because some people are uncomfortable with opposite gender pat-downs. I think I already made it clear that personally I wouldn't care because I think that TSA agents are just doing their job and aren't ogling everyone. Which is consistent with how I feel about gays in the military, btw.

Maybe if you ask them to have a different gender to feel you up then maybe they will if they think you are cute enough. If you are not cute enough then and it would hurt your ego to be turned down then better not to ask.
