It's really nothing to worry about. Your sweetheart can sign another one and you two can submit it the next day. He will get a chance to see the Embassy, and I'm sure that he will be more than welcome since he is a military man.

thanks much!

whatever comes our way, we are gonna make it through

i am so truly excited for all of us here.....

for those who were successful in scheduling their interviews.....

for those who passed their interviews and medical.....

for those travelling to the philippines to join their love ones......

for all of us for moving forward.....

ahhhh...... just want to share my case.....

noa2 date is nov 17..... (141 days from noa1).....

nvc forwarded to usem my case via electronic file nov 23, 2010

have called usem many times (02-301-2000)....

and all i get is.....

"we have received your e-file but we need to have your physical file"

"please call us again after a week (same advise given last week)"

i asked if i can pay the visa fee

"yes, you can"

further asked if the bank will provide the UID

"we receive lots of complains about it, so we are trying to figure it out(?)"

i asked that since i have my mnl number, if ok for me to schedule my appointment

"no, you have to wait that your file be uploaded first"

geeee.... i thought we were done with the dilemna after waiting almost 5 months for noa2...

another test for all of us?????

questions please.....

do i really have to wait for the usem to tell me if i can already sched my interview?

the usem staff said that my file might be already there just waiting to be uploaded.....

i have not tried calling up the call center (02-982-5555)

but been calling usembassy (301-2000) almost everyday.....

if possible, plan to sched my medical 2nd to fourth week of december....

and interview mid of january....

also, my noa2 (dated nov. 17) states it expires feb 16, 2011....

a typo???? because i understand it has a validity of 4 months, not 3 !!!!

im not complaining tho..... in fact, its advantage for us !!!!

my fiance plans to be here 2nd week of january.....

and we are praying that all will be well....

so we leave together 2nd week of february......

need your advise/inputs/comments please.....

I am right there with you

My NOA2 is dated November 18

Sent to USEM Manila November 30

NOA2 expires 3/17, and yes mine is valid for 4 months

Maybe if it was shorter it would speed things along

Maybe that is how it works, prioritized by date, kind of makes sense

Finally, I pushed to talk to the guys supervisor, no help, bottom line, I gotta wait.

I still have not had any response from anyone about how they notify you. The call center guy took down my email address, but

If I am not in the system, where is he going to put it, his back pocket?

So nothing to do but sit here.

Ok I will try to help.

Are you sure its only 3 months?? that would be odd, and I have no idea why. Mine is four months. Maybe post a question here, or call the NVC, but in any case you do still have plenty of time.

Ok, on the Embassy, keep calling back until they tell you its in the system. This does take some time from the time it leaves NVC. Chazzie's took 12 days, and I think BB&Mj's took about 15. I guess they took pity on me cuz I was in AP at the NVC, but mine only took 6 days. Just keep calling, they will get it into the system soon.

You can pay at BPI anytime, however you will not be able to make an appointment until your case is uploaded to the system. Once the embassy verifies your case (MNL CASE NUMBER) has been uploaded into the System call/go online etc to make an appointment, DO NOT GIVE UP it sucks...keep calling until you confirm your appointment. It took me 6 days, and hours on hold etc etc but eventually it go squared away. Remember you do have to pay the fee before you can schedule.

Medical, marimi people go before they schedule their appointment. As long as you have your Manila case number from NVC you can go to the medical. We waited until the appointment was scheduled, but you dont have to. As long as you have your MNL case number you can go. Do keep in mind that after your medical they will keep your passport.

Good luck! you are getting close!

Hi! keep calling them everyday until they tell u physical packet is received. Its usually about 2 1/2 weeks after NVC forwarded it to manila consulate. If they tell u to call back in a week, just call again the next day.

This process is really a test of patience.Even after the interview and its been approved, theres another 2 weeks of waiting to get the actual visa.Im keeping myself sane here with a thought that me and my fiance will be together really soon.hang in there a lil bit more.Good Luck!

I have read somewhere that once u called USEM manila and asked for your case thats the only time they would send out the notification ( i cant find the link anymore, though). When i called them inquiring about my case they also asked for my fiance's addie and email but we never received notification from them and He had his interview already.Who knows maybe we'll receive that notification when hes already here. Continue calling if physical packet is received, thats the only thing they need when u go for your interview. Good Luck!

i cant edit what i posted anymore...

But what i meant when i said/wrote " thats the only thing they need when u go for interview" is from their side, they need to have physical packet so they can look at your application.Without it,they dont have a case to look at.And on your side, You have to prepare needed docs like I134,DS forms, evidence,~all the works~.^_^

Hi there, Just received my first letter from Manila US Embassy. I'm the benefactor. It is a one paged letter and it says;

This refers to your fiancee' (k1 visa case)

Your case is eligable for a visa interview. You must pay the K visa application fee before you can schedule a visa appointment....

(2nd paraghraph is how to schedule your interview.....but its not like what I saw in the sample packet 3 which is a 4 - 5 page paper with complete instructions)

Is this the packet 3 or we will receive another letter before we can schedule our interview and medical?

Can we pay our interview fee and schedule our interview now? Can I go to medical now? Is this the packet 3?

Thank you!

All I can tell you with certainty is that you can pay the Fee. We have not received a letter yet, still waiting, but we have paid the Fee at BPI. All they asked from my fiancee was to see her passport and a copy of the passport bio page.

They did not ask her for the MNL number, but it was a a sheet of paper I typed up with all our relevant information on it, so perhaps there was info there they would have asked for, but did not have to, they kept our sheet.

When we paid the fee we did NOT receive anything from them, any kind of number that is. All your fiancee will receive is two ordinary deposit slips. If you have not tried scheduling yet, I would, Some have said you can not schedule until the fee is paid. I would be interested to know if that is the case. Please post it if you find out.

Oh, those deposit slips are the receipt for your payment, so they are very important. Do not lose them.

Please help us. I am so confused. I am petitioning for my fiancee in Manila.

- Reveived the NOA-2 dated October 22

- We both received a letter from the Manila Embassy stating the case is eligible to schedule an interview and instructions to call number no longer valid.

- I found the new numbers and called Dec 2.

- I was told we needed to pay for the visa application at BPI before we can schedule the interview

- We did that

- I called back today with the information and was told she needs her St Lukes exam BEFORE she can schedule an interview

Both people I spoke to, on Dec 2 and today asked if we already received an appointment package from the embassy. I said no, I have this letter saying she is eligible to schedule an appointment from the embassy. I read the letter to him. Then he said after she gets her exam at St Lukes they will schedule her appointment. Are they making this stuff up as they go along?

Please if someone can answer these questions:

Is she supposed to get a package with an interview date already scheduled?

Should she go to St Lukes now and expect to get an interview date there?

Is the letter we received from the manila embassy all we need to schedule an appointment?

Please help us. We are so confused.
