With Diana's ring they were engaged in Kenya on a safari in October. They plan to have the wedding in London in Spring or Summer of 2011. Prince Charles announced his sons official engagement today in a press release.

My dad today said the engagement ring is cursed but I think it was a nice gesture. I'm a girl, maybe I'm biased to view all things as romantical, though, haha.

I've always loved that ring. I see it as a rebirth, reinvention, tradition yet sustainability, the modern royals. It's nice to get a bit of joyous news these days and have something to look forward to. Many of us loved Diana & admired her love and care for her kids as they grew up before us. I do enjoy weddings and this one is so special.
