N-400 – Yellow letter requesting court record – no arrest only traffic tickets

Hello Everyone!!

Today I received the yellow letter indicating that my case has been forwarded to the local office. There is also a note indicating that I stated in the application that I have been arrested and they are requesting original or certified copies of all arrest records.<br> I have never been arrested, but selected yes for the question that ask you if you’ve been cited. I did so because of traffic tickets that I have received in the past. I also included a copy of my driving record from court so they can see that all issues were minor (speeding, expired tag.. etc) also all of the incidents were over 10 years ago.

<br>My question is, should I be worried about it? Should I try to get more documentation with me? Has anyone had this experience before?

We all got the same letter. I too had a a traffic ticket for answering my cell phone while driving. Although not needed, I suggest you bring the documentation you may have about your ticket(s), just because.

Did you list the citations in the following section on the application? If so, then just take the originals of the documents you provided. Sometimes, their letter is generic so the wording could be off. Just take with you what you submitted with the N-400 application.

Will do. Yes, I listed the citations in the section on the application and included a letter explaining all were minor traffic violations. Thank you for the responses.
