December 2010 Manila Embassy Interview Thread

Hi everyone. I'm a June K1 filer who was recently approved earlier this month. I've already contacted the NVC and got my MNL case number already. As of November 10th, our petition was sent to the Manila Embassy. I will be calling to schedule an interview appt for next month (December) and hopefully be successful in doing so. I have read a couple of threads from others who have already tried contacting Manila to schedule an interview and have gotten turned away (even for this month). So I thought it would be easier if we all contribute to this thread and help each other. So let's all post our findings and find out when Manila is accepting K1 interview appts for December!! Congrats to everyone and good luck the rest of the way. I myself will be going to visit my fiancee for the holidays and hopefully her Visa Interview. If we get the PINK, it would be the best present ever!!

so does USEM have a particular amount of interview slots each month for a particular type of visa? or is just a big bucket of interview slots regardless of any visa you're trying to interview for?

im hoping for a december interview for the wife and kids. i'd even be happy if they can get scheduled for the latest in december...but it's already the middle of the week and still nothing. as i understand it...NVC will only be scheduling interviews up to the end of this week.

i know waiting is sheer hell. but you're already in the last few steps of the process. at least your file is already at the embassy. unlike the rest of us with the same visa types and waiting for NVC to schedule our interview, you can actually keep calling them and have a chance of getting an interview scheduled as opposed to us waiting for an agency to schedule it for us.

That's great news! :star:

The medical was the biggest worry for Chinook and me. The interview is much easier and quicker.

I think K1 is one of the few visas that require people to call the Embassy Call Center to schedule. For all other visas (CR-1, etc) the NVC does the scheduling. Let's ALL hope we can get scheduled soon. Congrats NOMAD!!!

thanks Tahoma, Chazzie and BB. if it wasn't for the fact that i want my son's school to give him an early finals (either end of January or Early February), i'd have them here in time for christmas. but of course, with the whole process...i kinda went through my savings and will need a little bit more time to save up for the $2K for their tickets. so i'll have to settle for mid February. but it's ok...it'll be in time for my youngest son's 5th bday in March!

Chaz...wag ka ma-discourage. you'll get your interview soon rin! i'll cross my fingers for you and BB to get your interview scheduled soon.
