Freshman Congress Arrived on Capitol Hill today

It's orientation day.

There are over 100 new freshman House and Senate members and 1/3 of them have never held elected office before.

The old Congress begins its last session while the new class is learning about ethics, security, how to cast a vote and getting familiar with office equipment.

Actually, second to last session. There will be two lame duck sessions.

ETA: They will break for Thanksgiving, and hold another session in December. The Democrats have a lot to load on the last train leaving the Hill.

I hadn't heard that. We're reporting what the national networks are reporting. That it's the last session (lame ducks) and the next starts in January when the new class takes over responsibility. Yesterday I edited the raw video for the new members being sworn in and learned there were 85 new Republicans and a handful of Democrats.
