I read something about it last week. Seems they would have someone in front on the Embassy talking with potential clients. Guarantee a Visa for $5000. :wacko:

Having somebody guaranteeing visas in front of the (Consulate, not Embassy) is a well known fraud but it doesn't involve actual Consulate Officers, to my knowledge. They warn about this on their website.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

Having somebody guaranteeing visas in front of the (Consulate, not Embassy) is a well known fraud but it doesn't involve actual Consulate Officers, to my knowledge. They warn about this on their website.

The news that I got was that three officers were involved in selling Visas and were fired. It seems they were working with people outside the Consulate.

I have heard this now from two different sources.
