Hi everyone... first of all wonderful news to all of you that are getting approved lately, that is wonderful and I am praying for our own petition to go quickly, but still being patient...

In the meantime, I just went and visited my fiance in Lagos for 10 days. I went there on a single entry visa that I applied for online and then took the payment confirmation and the other necessary papers (his passport copy, invitation letter, etc.) to the Consulate in Atlanta and then I had my passport back with the Nigerian Visa (single entry) within 5 days. EASY! And then what a great time we had...

NOW I am back in the states and trying to apply for the multiple entry visa online (You can get a multiple entry after getting the first single entry visa)... I got so far as the payment part. They are asking me to pay for the visa in Naira, which wouldn't be an issue only I am back in the states and they are asking me to recharge an e-Wallet account with a bank in Nigeria. It says:

IN ORDER TO PROCESS YOUR APPLICATION FURTHER, PLEASE COLLECT YOUR VALIDATION NUMBER FROM BANK

PLEASE TAKE THE PRINTED ACKNOWLEDGEMENT SLIP TO PARTICIPATING BANK FOR PAYMENT- PAYMENT CANNOT BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT THE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT SLIP

Only problem is, they want me to take the slip to the "participating bank" which is in Nigeria! How can I do that if I am already back here? I tried to find an option on the "Pay4Me/e-Wallet" website where I could transfer from my own account to that bank but I don't see the option. Has anyone else done this yet? Can my fiance go and charge the account for me? Please help I am so confused and I need to get my multiple entry before the end of November.

Can anyone guide me through this crazy maze of Naija visas?? I need help! Thanks.

You must have made a wrong choice somewhere. Did you select re entry visa instead of visitors visa ? What happens is you apply for a second visitors visa and they issue you a multientry one. The instructions you are talking about sound more like a re entry visa.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Okay so yes I did fill in an application online for a re-entry visa... I submitted it on the website. So can I just disregard that one and fill out a new visitor's visa (the same for the first time?) Also, can you tell me how many entries that second visa will get you in how many months? And what is "re-entry"? I automatically assumed it was for the second visitor's visa. They don't make it clear, as you probably know. So anyways, I didn't pay for the re-entry visa because I couldn't figure it out in the first place so I am happy to hear that, but will it make a difference now that I have submitted it and then submit again a new visitor's visa? Thanks SO MUCH for your info, that was a life-saver!

A re entry visa is for people that are staying more than a monthor so from free zone countries. So they can come and go frequently. You need to apply for a visitors visa, include your fiances/husbbands data, a letter from him that he wishes to teach you more of Nigeria and the picture page of his passport and a letter from you that you want to be able to travel to and from to learn about Nigeria. I can't remember if the multientry is 3 or 5 years. I am on travel so I can't peek. I have only heard of one case where this failed to get a multientry ( as many as you want ) but they denied that person outright as a fraudulant relationship.

I've been to Nigeria 5 times in the last 2 years and the most time they ever gave me for the multi-entry visa was 1 year. This was issued out of the Nigerian Embassy in NYC.
