Once upon a time, this man agreed we needed that new trans-hudson tunnel. Then the national republican stage beckoned and he canceled it.

Once upon a time, this same guy was endorsed by prominent environmentalist groups because he was a progressive on these issues. Today, global warming no longer exists. Not running for president in 2012 my a z z.

An environmental group that made a rare Republican endorsement when it backed Chris Christie for New Jersey governor last year said it has no buyer's remorse now that he has raised questions about the cause of global warming.

At a town hall meeting in Toms River this week, Christie said he needs "more science" before he's convinced that human activity is responsible for global warming. While he did not challenge the voluminous science pointing to man as a chief culprit of global warming, Christie said he's seen evidence on both sides of the issue and is reserving judgment.

"To be honest with you, I don't know. And that's probably one of the reasons why I became a lawyer and not a doctor, or an engineer, or a scientist -- because I can't figure this stuff out," Christie said. "But I would say at this point, that has to be proven, and I'm a little skeptical about it."

Today, global warming no longer exists.

He didn't say global warming didn't exist - he said he's not convinced that human activity is responsible for it.

Human activity is a contributing factor, to be sure, but there's no definitive proof that it's the *only* factor.

Funny, he wasn't skeptical when he was running for governor of new jersey. Now that's running for the republican nomination for president of the united states, suddenly his skepticism kicks in.

Sounds like he's taken some pointers from McCain's playbook.

New Jersey needed fixing and Chris has done a pretty good job balancing the budget. Wouldn't you all agree?

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

He has left the single largest cause of NJ's bloated budget untouched - he hasn't moved an inch or even mentioned municipal consolidation. After all, all those goombas in their patronage jobs can not be touched.

Christie needs to drop about 3 of his chins to be taken seriously on the national stage. When was the last fatty we had for president? We have to beware of the fat presidents, they could sell state secrets to nefarious organizations like Cadbury.

Ahhh.... the open minded and tolerant left has spoken.

The ignorance of the right has responded. Only an imbecile doesn't recognize that marketing is a huge part of politics. Do you think Sarah Palin would even get anyone to show up if she looked like Helen Thomas? The fact that you discount it does speak volumes about your political acumen.

wonder what other demographics he would discount like that?

Christy actually wears "fat" pretty good if you ask me.

It's almost like he proud of it, every time I see him he is taking his jacket off... whats up with that?
