AUSTRALIA'S tourism industry is losing market share internationally and slipping behind other industries domestically.

A report from the Bureau of Tourism Research shows that while the tourism industry has grown in the past decade, those of other countries are growing faster. In the past 10 years, Australia's share of international tourism has fallen from 0.7 per cent to 0.6 per cent.

Within Australia, tourism's share of gross domestic product had fallen from 3.4 per cent to 2.6 per cent. Tourism employment was up by only 7.9 per cent over the past decade compared with a 19 per cent rise in overall employment. Even the visit by Oprah Winfrey would not guarantee the success of Australian tourism, Tourism Minister Martin Ferguson told a Canberra conference yesterday.

No brainer, the dollar is doing well so it's expensive to travel there.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

It looks like travelers are starting to see that Australia isn't a friendly place to visit. They are probably sick of the holier than thou attitude.

No. I been there. The babes there were pretty good as they wanted real men badly but after a few days there is nothing to do there as it only takes a couple of days to see everything. It may be a good place to stop through if one is going to Thailand or any other awesome country. The last time I went a babe I knew there wanted me to go climb a bridge and thought that was going to be my highlight there. It was nice and all but it was actually the highlight of my trip except for her sex skills.
