hi,we already completed the packet and mailed it all to the US embassy, we are just waiting for the interview notice from them, but i just wanna know if do we have to wait for the US embassy to schedule my medical exam? or can i have my medical exam anytime at st. lukes even if we don't have my interview schedule yet? thanks..

yeah what Loto asked. the US embassy doesn't schedule medical exams at SLMC. no appointment necessary actually, it's a first come first served basis. and no, you don't have to have your interview scheduled to do the medical. but SLMC will tell you to do your medical once you have an interview date already because depending on your results, the validity of the medical can either be 3 or 6 months. if you do get your medical without your interview being scheduled yet, make sure you bring your NOA2 letter or a copy of it to show to st. luke's.

my wife and kids did their medical last week and we're waiting for an interview date still.

I-130 for wife and kids

06/17/2010: Oathtaking - Became a US Citizen

06/21/2010: Called USCIS to let them know to update my I-130 from an LPR petition to a USC petition.

06/25/2010: Case for both sons Touched

06/28/2010: Petition updated to a USC petition (Oldest son)

06/30/2010: Petition updated to a USC petition (Wife & youngest son)

07/19/2010: G-325A returned. Incomplete.

07/30/2010: Completed G-325A mailed back via certified mail

08/04/2010: Certified mail delivered at Laguna Niguel

08/07/2010: Touched - UCSIC received reply to RFE

08/13/2010: I-130 APPROVED!!! (recvd email update)

11/16/2010: USEM interview scheduled on 12/14/10

12/14/2010: VISAS APPROVED!!!!

12/20/2010: Visas received

ahhh, i understand it now thanks.. Loto what is DCF? sorry i didn't get that one...but really thanks for the replies!

DCF is Direct Consular Filing of I-130 petition at the Foreign Consulate, if the petitioner meets the residency requirement in that country.
