That you are the foreign fiance is irrelevant. Most of the problems with your post weren't grammatical in a "not familiar" sense, but in a "ChatSpeak" sense. ChatSpeak will bring about the end of the human race.

STFU. Do you understand that? Does picking on an immigrant's grammar make you feel better about yourself?

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

CIAN..I am gugu's USC fiance and even I take short cuts when I type. Reading your post really pisses me off. I bet if someone uses the word "AINT" or spelled "a lot" as ALOT it would send your ### into a frinzy! Yeah this is a forum so keep in mind that it's not an English class room! If you want to spend your minutes, hours, days, and such correcting other's grammer then why not get an English Professor's degree. Then you can correct all your students while lowering their self esteem.

To the OP:

I'm sorry for your recent troubles but I commend you both for being honest enough with each other rather than just plunging ahead, rushing a wedding, and enduring misery. It shows maturity. Best of luck however it turns out, and ignore the wee trolls. (How lame do you have to be to troll a board with such a narrow purpose?)

To Sabrina:

If you're not ready to be married, don't get married. It's normal to be nervous and scared, but if you honestly feel you're not ready yet, rushing into a K-1 (with a move, a new country, etc) is a gigantic step. It's a marriage-based visa, not an I-miss-you one.

hope u guys will work things out (L)

i sometimes feel the same way about my relationship. me and my SO are both 21 and i still think its too early to get married. we both still got a lot to learn. sometimes i feel like his love is just too much for me to handle. he loves me with all his heart and he wants nuttin more than being with me for the rest of his life. for me this means leaving my friends and family behind and starting a new life. sometimes i really do feel like its to early. but marriage its the only way for us to be together. dont get me wrong i love him more than anything else in this world and i culdnt b without him cuz he is making my life complete. but getting married scares me.

Writing like an over-caffeinated 13 year old AOL user really annoys me. Hint: This is a message board, not a chatroom or a cell phone. Entire words CAN be typed easily, and should be. As such, here is the above post in English for any who couldn't translate it....

You are concerned with your own convenience. I am concerned with the ability of others to read posts on an immigration website. Who's being selfish and who isn't?

Funny you should mention the English degree.....

For the last time; my issue was with the chatspeak, not the grammar. Have you seen me ever correct someone's spelling or grammar on this site before? No, you haven't.

Clearly, you are all fighting because you have not got laid in a while and are thus very irritable. You need to face your common enemy who happens to be USCIS, not other people in the same waiting mode as yourselves.

Or is this too much to ask?

Cian...maybe you should look upwards at your corrections then. You capitalize everything and cross out words that do not need to be in the sentences....that's grammer my friend.

Majizee... I can assure you that your statement DEFINATELY does not apply in my case. Besides i'm not PO'D anymore. Just think that Cian is behaving like a $hit head.

Yes, I did correct most of that (As Alex pointed out, I missed a couple). It is grammar, but it is also chatspeak - using the lower case i, especially. It was my way of making a point....that some people might have less of a grasp of English, and that we should all try to keep that in mind when posting.

And yes, I am a sh!thead.

:D:D well said Kitkat. All right I would tell you joke about people like my buddy Majizee.

There was a politician in a country. He would always like to be in the opposition. No matter if govt changes or not. One day he was flying to a place and his plane crashed. He luckily landed on an island. After sometime some people came to rescue him. He asked who is in the govt. People said XYZ. He then asked is there any opposition in here too? People said No then he said ok from today I am in the opposition.

So Majizee would be in the opposition all the time.

Gugu24, The pic of insecticide may be needed ???

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

This is an interesting point. At first, I was going to ###### out Cian for his pompous English correcting posts as well, but after his explanation of why he is doing it, I have changed my mind. I still think he's a pompus jackass with some sort of wanna-be superiority complex, but he does make a valid point. When one is first learning English, slang and vernacular is bad. IM chatspeak is even worse. As much as I hate his personality, I have to agree with what he's saying.

For the foreign SOs who will eventually immigrate to the US, it's to your advantage to learn English and learn it properly. If you want to secure any kind of decent jobs later on, you'll need to be able to write clearly and properly in English, not IM chatspeak.
