due to some unknown reasons i didn't get my 10 year green card and my 1 year extended green card expired too. i applied for citizenship a few days ago. do i need another extension for my green card and how can i get it? thank you

Did your I-751 get approved at all? Or did you get approved yet havent received 10-year card?

If you did not get approved yet, then you can schedule an infopass and get your passport stamped with an additional 1 year extension. However, Okalian his the spot with his question, can you answer it?

N-400 Naturalization Timeline

06/28/11 .. Mailed N-400 package via Priority mail with delivery confirmation

06/30/11 .. Package Delivered to Dallas Lockbox

07/06/11 .. Received e-mail notification of application acceptance

07/06/11 .. Check cashed

07/08/11 .. Received NOA letter

07/29/11 .. Received text/e-mail for biometrics notice

08/03/11 .. Received Biometrics letter - scheduled for 8/24/11

08/04/11 .. Walk-in finger prints done.

08/08/11 .. Received text/e-mail: Placed in line for interview scheduling

Since you mentioned the 1 year extended card, I take it you have already filed I-751. Now that you've filed N-400, they will have to adjudicate your I-751 to allow processing of your citizenship. Just stay put and the N-400 will get things rolling. If you need to travel in the meantime or you need proof for your job, you can get your passport stamped with I-551 which will hold till your citizenship is approved. Good luck.
