Okay folks. Got my RFE late last week, which was not enough time for me to respond to it, and get it in the mail back to them.

It was my stupidity that slowed us down.

1. Had to show divorce decree WITH THE FILING DATE AND JUDGE'S SIGNATURE.

2. Had to show that we met in the last 2 years. I didn't have pictures with dates on them, so I gave them the wrong pages showing when I was in the Philippines last. I COPIED AND PRINTED THE PROPER PAGES FROM MY PASSPORT.

Now I hope it doesn't take long from this point.

I'm sorry to hear you received an RFE.

The USCIS and NVC are very strict when it comes to documents and evidence of relationship. Nothing to worry about, just a minor delay. The end result, though, will be priceless.

I'm hoping I dont get an RFE. I'm somewhat paranoid since I read that they require the 'long form' birth certificate as proof of US citizenship so I sent them all the pages in my passport since thats what the instructions say if you're sending that as proof of citizenship. I'm hoping they look at that too as proof of meeting even though I included that in my section of proof of citizenship and not with the proof of meeting section (I sectioned off my entire binder of paperwork to make everything easy to find.)

In retrospect I wish I had thought to print the copies of the passport stamps a second time and put them with the proof of meeting as well.

Our story so far...

Nov 2009 - Met for the first time whilst I was on tour in Cali

Mar 2010 - After staying in touch, met for a few nights at a trade show - It was very real!

Jul 2010 (Independance Day) - Met in San Diego. Knew we were meant to be together

Sep 2010 - Met in San Diego. Knew we wanted to spend our lives together. Started making plans.

Sep 27th 2010 - Found out that we were expecting a baby. Plans bought forward significantly! :-) Happiest man in the world.

Oct 12th 2010 - Sent I-129F pack to USCIS

Oct 19th 2010 - NOA1 Received

Nov 2010 - Spent a week with my lady in the UK

Dec 23rd 2010 - Battled with UK snow and Heathrow's incompetence to spend Xmas with my family

Dec 24th 2010 - Attended first scan and discovered we are expecting a baby boy!

Jan 9th 2011 - Left home to come back to the UK

Jan 21st 2011 - Requested Expedite from USCIS on medical grounds

Jan 27th 2011 - Expedite request approved.

Feb 2nd 2011 - NOA2 Received

Feb 3rd 2011 - Application left NVC to go to London. LDN number received.

Feb 9th 2011 - Packet 3 sent out

Feb 16th 2011 - Packet 3 sent to Embassy

Feb 18th 2011 - Requested expedite on interview

Feb 24th 2011 - Packet 3 forms logged

Feb 28th 2011 - Medical

Mar 1st 2011 - London Consular wrote with confirmation of an early interview. In 4 days time! PANIC! Woke up fiancé!

Mar 4th 2011 - Interview...APPROVED!!!

I'm assuming it means the previous pages copied and sent were not the right ones to show what they were trying to show on the pages. Maybe older dated stamps or maybe stamps from another country or maybe blank stamp pages?

Could you please elaborate on this point? Did you actually include the copies of your passport stamps that showed your entries into the Phillipines within the last two years? If so, I thought this would be enough!

August 23, 2010 - I-129 F package sent via USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation.

August 30, 2010 - Per Department of Homeland Security (DHS) e-mail, petition received and routed to California Service Center for processing. Check cashed. I-797C Notice of Action by mail (NOA 1) - Received date 08/25/2010. Notice date 08/27/2010.

After 150 days of imposed anxious patience...

January 24, 2011 - Per USCIS website, petition approved and notice mailed.

January 31, 2011 - Approval receipt notice (NOA 2) received by mail. Called NVC, given Santo Domingo case number, and informed that petition was sent same day to consulate.

Called Visa Specialist at the Department of State every day for a case update. Informed of interview date on February, 16 2011. Informed that packet was mailed to fiance on February, 15 2011.

February 21, 2011 - Fiance has not yet received packet. Called 1-877-804-5402 (Visa Information Center of the United States Embassy) to request a duplicate packet in person pick-up at the US consulate in Santo Domingo. Packet can be picked-up by fiance on 02/28.

March 1, 2011 - Medical exam completed at Consultorios de Visa in Santo Domingo.

March 9, 2011 at 6 AM - Interview, approved!

March 18, 2011 - POE together. JFK and O'Hare airports. Legal wedding: May 16, 2011.

Now I hope it doesn't take long from this point.

Just went through something similar although mine was only for the divorce decree. I received the copy of the RFE in the mail on the 5th, overnighted the stuff on the 6th. USCIS received it on the 8th and we had our decision on the 10th. Once you respond to the RFE it seems to go fairly quickly.
