I am new to this forum so please forgive me if my question sounds silly. I hear everyone talking about an NO2. My I-130 was with the USICS for over 5 months so I wrote to them on 10/18 to find out the status and on 11/01 they replied and said I should receive a duplicate Approval Notice within 14 days.

I assume this is a duplicate NO2, which hasn't come yet. I did receive a letter and case number from the NVC saying that our petition has become eligible for further processing at the National Visa Center, along with the DS-3032 form.

I have already paid the $88 for the Affadavit of Support and it cleared. My question is do I have to wait until I receive the N02 before I can submit the i-864?

Many Thanks,

No. If you have paid AOS fee, print out the barcode coversheet on the same page (only after payment status shows as PAID), then mail entire AOS package to NVC.

Email DS-3032 asap, then only you can proceed with IV fee payment and IV package mailing to NVC.

Yes I moved 3 weeks after submitting my i-130 and completed the change of address form online. They have the new address because the eligibility letter from the NVC was mailed to my new address. Thank you for that.

Thank you that was very helpful. I read the EZGuideSpouse yesterday, but it also spoke about the NOA2, that's why I asked the question about what to do if you don't receive it. Thanks again.

It is a good idea to have NOA2 in your file. Contact USCIS to get it.
