Hello,

I'm new to the "IR-1 / CR1 forum".

Well, as you can see from my timeline below, our I-130 & I-129F are approved... and for the moment, it is still early to decide which path we will choose (K-3 or CR-1).

Meanwhile, we would like to understand two points, and I wish i'll find some help & suggestions from you my friends :

well, my two questions are :

- as the two processes are going, when exactly (i.e which stage) we have to delay one so as to continue with the other (K-3 instead of I-130, and vice-versa)?

- How can we choose the option of choosing to take the K-3 interview, enter the US and then return for the CR-1 interview)?

In the hope to find some :help:

thank you in advance

Najia

As I said in your other thread, you can let the I-129F go onto the consulate. By the time the I-130 has processed through NVC (See NVC Flowchart & NVC Timessavers & James Shortcuts), it should arrive at the consulate before the K-3 interview, whereby the I-130 will over-ride the I-129F and you will then interview for the CR-1. You do have a little room to move in holding off being scheduled an interview for the K-3 to let the I-130 catch up. Not sure that I would advise to do the K-3 and then go back for the CR-1, especially being Morocco, where one interview can be hard enough. Many have had difficulties with Morocco. There is a Regional Forums area here on VJ that you should check out. There has been ongoing issues with interviews in Morocco and you need to know the specifics of that consulate. See ME/NA forum
