Happy Wednesday everyone!

Especially happy for Meriem and Andrea- you guys are where I wish we were.

I just returned from Morocco two weeks ago and it has been a difficult return. I'm sure you all understand- the depression that sets it. The good news is when I was there we filled out all the visa paperwork, took passport photos etc. I am now just waiting for my divorce papers and looks like I will be mailing the package either Friday or Monday.

I think it looks good and everything is in order. It was WAY overwhelming trying to xerox everything and organizing it, but now I feel better once the package shaped up. The only thing I worry is that I could not get a long form of my birth certificate. Because of Katrina, I was told I would have to wait 4-6 months unles I drove to new orleans myself. So I am submitting my passport and the short form which according to the guide should be enough to show citizenship right? I may get a friend and take a road trip to New Orleans anyway (about 7 hours drive one way) and get one incase of a REF or for the interview process.

I am so glad all of you have been here through the preparation period. I almost left for Morocco with the old version of the 129f Form but due to this board discovered the new one was released just a few days before I left for Morocco and was able to download it.

I am back at work but just meetings, students return next Monday. I am hoping they will keep me busy during the LONG wait and you guys will keep me sane.

Thanks for listening. I'll let y ou know when the application goes off.

mybackpages - I also couldn't get the usual form of my birthcertificate b/c of Katrina and I just sent what they gave me, so far, it's been no problem. Got NOA1, NOA2, sent to NVC, now waiting for interview appt. from Casa. Don't fret it.... Besides, you might not even be able to get it from NOLA anyway at this point. I'm only an hour away, but it was only 7 mos. post Katrina when I got mine... now it's almost a yr, I wouldn't be so sure they have all that together. Send what you have, it should be sufficient. Everyone in the *world* is aware of the damage Katrina caused. Particularly government officials :P

Good luck!

Well, my kiddos started school today. My son started 6th grade and is in middle school now and my daughter started kindergarten. I've been a boo hooing mess! :crying: I took the day off and now Khallid and I are off to get his immunizations for his AOS (since Egypt keeps NO records of these) and then the civil surgeon I spoke with said he needs ANOTHER medical!!! I'm not sure if this is right or not, but we're going to the health dept so that part will be free. It's going to be a whooping $150.00 for him to see the civil surgeon.

Khallid is facinated by the super Wal-Mart so I'm sure we'll be wandering around that place for a while today too.

Congrats on all those with upcoming reunions!
