When the case # was assigned, I emailed DS3032 but NVC did not respond (not even an auto response). However, I emailed them the choice of agent form again (using the email template found on this site) when I realized that the I864 bill was generated. This time, I received the following email:

Dear Sir/Madam:

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

Any documents received at the National Visa Center that have not been

requested will not be reviewed and may be returned to you. Please do not

send any documents until they are requested.

This petition is now eligible for further processing. The petitioner,

beneficiary, and/or attorney of record will receive further instructions

regarding the processing of this petition.

If a period of one year passes from the last date of contact with the

NVC (by email, telephone or mail), all submitted fees and documents will

expire. In that case, your fees will need to be repaid and documents

will need to be resubmitted in order to continue the immigration

process.

*This email does not say anything about receiving DS3032 but it makes it sound like that it has received an inquiry from me.

A few days later, I received another email with the attached DS3032. I am now wondering if I should send the hard-copy again. I called NVC and the staff said that the only thing that she can confirm is that they sent me that response but cannot confirm whether or not they received COA. She said that emailing is ok but if we do not hear from them in 2 weeks, we need to call.

But who wants to lose 2 weeks in this process? Should I also send the hard copy, even though it will take 7-8 days for it to get to the states via airmail (I am the beneficiary)?

11/17/2010--IV Bill invoice generated and paid. (in process now)

11/18/2010--IV bill showed PAID. awesome!

11/19/2010--Mailed DS230 (Priority mail because of the weekend)

11/22/2010--DS230 Delivered to NVC

12/03/2010--AOS & IV entered into system

12/08/2010--SIF

12/08/2010--Case Completed

Consulate

12/30/2010--Medical exam passed

01/14/2011--Interview - Approved!

01/17/2010--Visa delivered

You can always email again in a day or two, it doesnt hurt to send the hard copy in for peace of mind too :thumbs:
