hi everybody,,

I had a f2b petition and its already documentarily qualified. last bulletin priority date was sept 2002 and mine is oct 2002.. But sad to say the december bulletin came out and retrogress for 2yrs and 6 months. now is march 2000..

I'm really frustrated, i'm just waiting a month to have an appointment for interview and this is what i got..

I'm not really knowledgeable with this retrogression.. can you please enlightened me? and how long will it go back to the previous 2002 year?

and also what is the maximum waiting time from the time it was documentarily complete to the interview?

please help.. thanks

no one can really know. they will not give you an interview date until your priority date is current, they will file your documents until that time. keep on checking each month the Bulletin, it is very unpredictable.

How about those who are already scheduled for interview this November, how will that affect them if pd is no longer current for December?

I'm not sure, how the official at the consulates/embassies will handle it over there, but in some cases here in the US they have told the person at the interview that the documents are ok, but they cannot approve them until the priority date becomes current.

Anything is possible, they might approve you or they might have you wait until the priority date becomces current.

I hope that someone who went through that could enlighten us.

Just to clarify the priority date will still be current at time of interview which is this month but no longer on the following month. I wish someone in a similar situation who already got interviewed this November can share.
