Hi all

I'm marrying a Mexican american guy, and he wants me to live with him in the US. The lawyer told us that we can get married in Mexico and he would be able to get me in the US in a month.

could this happen? or he is just saying wrong information?

Cases can get expedited. Yes, this is true. But normally, no, it would take longer than one month to get you into the U.S. I think your lawyer is very optimistic, but hardly realistic. Just my thoughts.

Maybe others can share their advice and experience.

Unless you have some immediate reason why you must expedite your case, a month is not nearly enough time - even with an expediate, a month isn't enough time. You're looking at 8 - 10 months from petition to visa issuance.
