Yeah, I hear you. I'm getting very frustrated, too. My fiance visa petition was approved by the CSC on 8/10/06, I received the NOA2 in the mail on 8/14/06, but NVC still has no record of it, as of 8/22/06. I thought the Department of State was supposed to be so much faster than USCIS, but that is not proving to be the case. What's even more frustrating is that no one will tell you anything and no one will do anything for you. The NVC will not call the CSC for you, and when you call the USCIS customer service number, they will not call CSC for you. They even told me that they did not have a phone number for the CSC. Now how ridiculous can they get???

So now, I am stuck, not knowing if CSC sent it on to the NVC or if it is still sitting on someone's desk in California, or maybe it is sitting on someone's desk in New Hampshire. Why do they want to keep us in the dark???

TimR

Hey guys maybe you should try to email the NVC. That's what I did last thursday, I asked them for the status of our case and if there's already a case number. Today I received a letter from the NVC telling us that our petition has already been sent to Manila Embassy and gave the case number on that email as well.

Please give a little bit of time. Sometimes the docs do not even leave CIS for up to a week.... yes I know, more waiting at CIS. It sucks.

It took around 3 days once our docs finally left California to reach NVC. It was then a week before they approved and sent the letter.

Even then I suspect the docs stayed at the NVC till the next Monday before leaving to embassy.

It is a lot quicker now, but try and relax just a little bit - it will get thru... I know, it is not easy! =)

NVC is slow at replying to emails. I sent one last week and just got a reply yesterday. It took two weeks for them to receive my I-130 and assign a case number. I was just approved for the I-129F last Thursday so I'm giving it two weeks before I call about that.
