DS-230 Signature?

I'm the petitioner...and NVC told me to fill out the DS230. On the DS-230 at the end of the first part it says APPLICANT'S signature. If they sent me the paper to fill out for my husband, can I the petitioner sign it because I am preparing it. (p.s. this is not the section that needs to be signed in front of a consular officer)

Is that okey if petitioner sign on behalf of minor child(2 months old)? Eventually Principal Applicant will ask to sign for DS230 Part-II(for Minor Child) at Consulate office?
