Hamas - highly rated business in California!

What does it take to get an A rating from the Better Business Bureau? Not much more than a credit card, apparently.

ABC News reports that the Better Business Bureau has assigned As to nonexistent or potentially dangerous businesses

within hours of those businesses applying and submitting their $425 payment. Meanwhile, business owners say, those

who don't apply for official accreditation are slapped with Fs. Some L.A. business owners looking to prove a point created "Hamas,"

a fake business they named after a terrorist organization, just to see what would happen. What happened is their application was approved,

their payment processed, and Hamas was immediately given a rank of A-. BBB officials now say a sales associate simply "made an error,"

but according to ABC's investigation, "errors seem to abound at the Better Business Bureau." Other recipients of As include "a nonexistent

sushi restaurant" in California and Stormfront, a neo-Nazi website.

I just saw the report on ABC - they listed the 400K salaried head of the California BBB as the owner of "Hamas!"

I saw that same thing last night. Everything is for sale at some price, even the trust of the American people. Hopefully, if this blows up in the BBB's collective faces, they will have to re-institute the real purpose of the BBB and they will be trustworthy again.

Also, the BBB is suppose to be a non-profit. But the top execs are pulling $400k a yr,. according to the report.

It's true, and not true. To get a favorable rating from the Better Business Bureau, you have to:

1) Not have any unfavorable reports, or unresolved complaints against your company, and

2) Join the BBB and be current on your dues.

The same goes for any of the other "scams", like Diamond Certified, etc.
