Use of abortion as birth control is self limiting in that eventually you will lose the ability to get pregnant again. It can also be traumatic psychologically. Thus my reasoned, though not spelled out, qualification abortion is a poor method of birth control.

Hiroshima? Nagasaki? There were THOUSANDS of innocent civilians in both those cities. NON COMBATANTS. Whatever one thinks about the necessity of nuking Japan - and it is controversial - there is no getting around the fact that the Allies did kill tems of thousands of innocent civilians and left thousands more dying slowly from radiation sickness.

I defend a person's CHOICE to have an abortion. It is not something I would choose, but I do not inflict that on others or expect others to follow MY choices by law.

Yes, innocent people are killed in war. YES innocent people were killed in Japan, but had those innocent people not gone along with the atrocities and policies of their government they would not have suffered. All was fine and dandy and they all benefitted from the rape of China and the Pacific rim, the "co-prosperity" sphere until they got nuked, then they are innocent. The German people went along with the Nazi terrorists until they were repeatedly incinerated in firestorms...then they thought maybe not such a good idea.

It's also rather stupid to assume that a terrorist represents a fundamentally flawed political position - that's not necessarily true either. Many American's supported the aims of the IRA and funded their terrorist activities because they supported, and maybe even still support the re-unification of Ireland. The re-unification of Ireland is an understandable aim, trying to make it happen via force hasn't worked too well, particularly as the Irish nation never supported the actions of the terrorist elements even while supporting their aims. Life, as they say, is complicated. Muslims aren't terrorists. Terrorists are terrorists.

I understand that. I've stated many times that 1 out of 4 humans are actually of the Muslim faith. We are talking of 1.8 billion Muslims, give or take 300 million (give/take size of entire US population). Obviously when we are dealing with billions (a number most cannot grasp) then a couple hundred thousand terrorists is nothing (or 20,000 or whatever the number is).

The person that does not understand the difference is Sof because she is the one that gets defensive as if a terrorist and a Muslim are one in the same. When I say a Jihadist Terrorist is the most dangerous human ever to exist in all of history it is because if he/she got a hold of a nuke he/she would use it. I think Sof. subs out the word Jihadist Terrorist for Muslim and that is why she takes offense. It is really weird to tell you the truth.

Tokyo's fire bombing killed 80 to 200,000. Brutal and deadlier than Hiroshima or Nagasaki and worse than Dresden by far.
