Hey everyone! I'm filing for AOS in the US right now, and just wanted a little bit if help on something. In going to file the advanced parole form(as it's in with the price) but I'm confused with the form. As I don't intend to use the advanced parole and have no journeys planned, what sections do I fill in?

Had great help on the last topic, and any help like that would be deeply appreciated!

Many thanks

olly

You write unknown for the dates and length of trip. Fill in the form as normal. Part 7 asks for something stating your eligibility/purpose of it (as separate piece of paper) but you don't bother with that as you're filing AOS THAT is your eligibility.

** moved from "Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from Family Based Visas" to " Working & Traveling During US Immigration" as this is relating to AP **

Where it says in part 4 about proposed travel as I to am n not planning on using it I just wrote it was in case of my husband being deployed overseas for work. Which is true and so I wrote that. You could alays write in case of an emergency with family.

You have to full in part 1. Part 2 (d). leave part 3, and fill in part 4 I did part 7 and ticked 1 trip and then sign part 8. I hope this helps as this is what I did and they are processing it now. Someone else may have more insight but as someone on here said to me they just copied the guide on VJ

Divorced !st November 2012.

Married only 2 years 1 month

Your reason can be "AOS applicant." That's all the reason they need, but if you want to say if case of travel it won't hurt.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

Again, there is nowhere for an AOS applicant for AP to write a reason for applying for AP. There is the section for dates and length of trip. There's mention of an attachment which DOES NOT APPLY to AOS applicants which is in the form instructions. Just complete the AP document and include the documents mentioned in the AOS thread in my signature. No sheet of paper explaining a reason (even just to write "AOS applicant") is needed.
