Try and get to the office early if you can. First come first serve. Everything will be great. Bring all ten fingers with you and be careful about any cuts on your fingers. Yes, you will need ALL fingers present and accounted for.

Wow, only 15 minutes getting that done and a 2.5 hour ride to get there. Bummer!! My appointment is at 8am. I wonder if that is when they actually open the doors. Thanks for the answers. Yes, I'm protecting my fingers. Don't want to drive that far and have them turn me away!! That would not be a good thing.

Yeah my apppointment was for 8 and 2.5 hours away as well. My husband and I decided to just stay in a hotel over night instead of getting up super early to beat rush hour traffic, etc. They kept the doors locked so we were forced to wait outside, it was cold with light rain. And of course once the doors opened they asked us to form a single line outside and thats when you see everyone's selfishness come into play. Everyone pushed and shoved to get into line so they can be closer to the front. So arriving at 7:30 am made no difference as people who showed up at 8 were waaay ahead of me.

It took them a lot of tries per finger to get my prints perfectly, apparently i have really faint fingerprints lol.

We are also getting a hotel. The appointment is in Syracuse, NY. I don't know what the traffic is like there, so we're not taking a chance and getting up at 3-3:30am is not my thing  Stina, did you have to wait long before your name was called?? Yes, it's funny how people get to be first in line. Hopefully, I'll be the only one there. Yeah, figure the odds!!

No, not at all. I think i was number 17 or something. by the time you fill out the form and hand it back to the lady behind the desk, your number is called within 5 minutes.... if everything goes smoothly lol. I say that because when at my bio office, people were parking in the employee's parking spots and nobody would fess up to parking there. So one of the worker's stood in the middle of the room and announced (loud enough for everyone to hear) that they could not park there and to move. No one moved, so the lady announced it not once, not twice, but THREE more times! Still no one went and moved their cars! My number was the next to be called and they discussed not taking anymore people until people moved their cars, I so didnt want to be stuck there alllll day. Thank God they decided to just call the two truck.

Dusy,

Here is what happened yesterday at Suracuse office.

First, my appointment was at 9am, but I got there around 7:10.

And, I got a parking spot on the street (I don't know if CIS has parking space or not, but I could not find one, so I just parked right in front of the building! It was 75 cents per hour and 2 hours max from 9:00-4:00)

Then I got breakfast and waited until they opened the door.

There were a couple of people waiting in front of the building, but not many.

After they opened, they checked my appointment letter and ID and gave me a form to fill out.

Then they called my name, took a picture and fingerprints, and that was it.

After I entered the building, I was there for only 10 mins!!

The lady was nice, and the traffic was not bad at all

I hope your biometrics go smoothly too!
