Smart Phones In Vietnam

If it's an unlocked phone with being able to accept a sim than it will work. If it doesn't accept a sim then I don't think mobifone can use it. Sim phones are GSM Phone like what t-mobile and At&t uses. CDMA phones are not able to use sim cards and are phones from Verizon and sprint.

There are plenty of places in Vietnam that sell smart phones. Right now Iphones are selling like hotcakes over there and the prices are over inflated.

any GSM phone can be unlocked over here (well almost any) I would say yes to all the HTC phones being unlocked, right now Samsung galaxy's are the hot ticket, Iphones have dropped off unless you have a 4g iphone. I had an older LG phone that was unlocked no problems, but once again it was a gsm with a sim. It was more expensive to unlock the LG phone than it was my Iphone because it was not very popular, but with the HTC you will not have any problem, and if you are wanting to make sure, just order an unlocked phone, and you will have no problems. Be Sure your unlocked phone is a tri-Band GSM 900, GSM 1800 and GSM 1900 or Quad-Band, GSM 850, 900, 1800, 1900, then you have no problem use them in Vietnam. But if you have the tri-band phones which running on gsm 850,1800,1900, those phones will have a pretty low signal or no signal at all. Cellphones are from these provider will not work in Vietnam such as Verizon, Sprint and US cellular as they run on CDMA network.

I got my Nokia E-71X unlocked by AT&T by telling them that I am visiting Vietnam. They sent a request Nokia and I got the unlocked code in my e-mail. It was painless and easy. Give that a try.
