Hi guys!

I hope everyone is doing well, and moving along with their journey. My husband got his interview December 3rd. We both are a bit confused about the medical. He had his medical done in India before he came to US. They put everything in the sealed envelop which he already handed over to the the POE officer. But, on the list we got it said to bring medical information but in parenthesis it says unless alredy submitted. Also, we both are a bit scared about the AOS interview. As what we need to bring. Our wedding pics are not all developed yet we have a few that I can bring along with the invitations. We have both of our names on the lease documents of our place. We have not opened up a joint bank account, because they require ID. Can I still open without him having a license yet? Just a bit stressed. Any advice what to bring? Or anyone can share their experience? Also, what should I do about the medical.

Ahh I opened an account here in US but only in my name as I had no SSN at the time and could not join on to my now husbands account. But if he has SSN you can both make a joint account now no problem and show your marriage certificate. Ignore the medical as you have already submitted it. bring medical information but in parenthesis it says unless alredy submitted as you quoted. Good luck and go to the bank now you are married

Divorced !st November 2012.

Married only 2 years 1 month

Make sure to take your vaccination card (DS-3025) to your interview, i'm sure you sent a copy of it with your application. The IO wanted to see mine in my interview.. you do not have to do another medical again, if you just sent your DS-3025 (not with I-693) and did not get any RFE, then you are good.. just take your DS-3025 form and if you sent I-693 too, then take a copy of it too.. ( i actually brought a copy of my whole aos package)

About the joint account, all you need to have is ID/passport and SSN, we opened a joint account in Bank of America, those two were enough for us..

And about the pictures, you do not have to take lots of pictures to your interview, but make sure that you have enough, especially with family and friends.. in my interview, the IO did not even look at all of our pictures, she just take one of them ( a family picture from our reception) to make a copy..she also made a copy of our reception invitation card too..

The IO also looked at our lease agreement, property insurance.. we also brought utility bill, greeting cards, boarding passes, birth certificates( both for me and my husband) too but she did not even looked at them.. She just checked our bank statement, lease agreement, property insurance, invitation card for our reception, one photo, and DS-3025 ( and she made a copy of them to keep in my file )ohh and our passports.. That was it..

Hope it helps.. Good luck with your interview...

The interview letter is a standard form letter. Several of the items in the checklist say "unless already submitted". Just go over the checklist carefully and bring whatever is indicated that wasn't already submitted.

Nobody can say for sure what will be enough for the interview. It depends on the IO and how your case looks to them. Since you don't know what's in your file, it's hard to predict how they'll see it. Our IO was very interested in our photo albums, and didn't give a hoot about the other "bona fides" evidence. Get those wedding photos developed and printed, if you can.

What you need to open a bank account depends on the bank. Most will accept a passport as valid identification. Some will also want a Social Security number, but others won't.
