hi. last february 20, 2010 we filed our k1 petition but was denied last may 10, 2010. we are denied because we only submitted the form I-129F. we did not include other required documents such as proof of relationship, g-325, cover letter, etc. we did not research well.

this june 18, 2010 we refiled and got our noa1 last june 25, 2010. we now asked for a professional help and completed our form I 129f with all the package needed in assembling it.

2 days ago, we called uscis and asked about our petition because its nearing the 5 months mark estimate which is on nov. 25, 2010, but they told my fiancee that we will wait for another 4 months in the usual 5 months wait because our k1 petition is refiled. hope this is not true...if it is true it means our noa2 wait will be 9 months and we can get it on march 2012...

can this be true???...pls help!!!thank you very much and congratulations to those who got their noa2!

I hope there is no RFE, am getting tired of this long wait. I know it takes time, but this is a lot more than it usually takes. I have seen people getting their NOA2s in 2-3 months tops, this is a bit longer than usual. I hope everything is fine and no issues with my application, everything is in perfect order and every information is provided. Let's hope for the best.

Thanks to all for your help and support.

sometimes there can be no reason at all for the delay. we were in the same situation - 1st marriage, no divorces or kids or anything and our paperwork was tip-top. still took us 5 months and 10 days or so for the noa2. however, after that, our nvc stage was very fast - 22 days from start to finish and then we also got our interview scheduled very fast after that (we thought we would have to wait a whole month to find out the date since we got our nvc case completed after the 1st week, whcih is when they typically start scheduling interviews for the following month, but we found out in ~ 10 days in a very surprising, but welcome email!). so all i can say is that if you havent gotten rfe'd yet, then its probably a good thing. you could schedule an infopass appt to speak to your local uscis office and they might be able to tell you a bit more info. i had 2 infopass appts before getting the magic texts/emails about the application being approved...best of luck and hang in there. its easier said than done, but being that i've been there and done that, that's all i can really suggest to you.

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know what is happening with the NOA2s? I see some of you received NOA2 for August 2010 applications, I haven't gotten mine.

What are they upto and why this long? How come people are getting NOA2s for august and not for july 2010? It's driving me nuts.

Any comments?

My Timeline:

7/23/2010 - I129F sent

7/28/2010 - NOA1

10/3/2010 - Touched

I am in the same boat. 7/29 NOA1, 10/3 Touched, and now waiting...Since i have seen my fiancee only 2 times i am making a trip back again in January for another 2 weeks hoping this would bring some solid grounds as we both are divorced...
