Does anyone have any information on the better medical locations in Mocscow? I read AO Meditsina was good, but we were concerned that they may not have their own lab for bloodwork and such? Does anyone have any experience or good information; or horror stories? :help:

My wife (then fiancee) used MOM in Moscow. She was able to get the results the same day. Her exam was at 11:30 and she picked up results at 5:00. She said they were very nice and did not give her a hard time. She had a few vaccinations that she needed (cost about $40) and was given an extra copy of the vaccination recored. This will be very important for AOS so be sure to tell your girl to ask for it.

Your girl will need to make an appointment a few weeks in advance.

My wife was happy with her experience at this clinic.

In our opinion, AO Med is the way to go. Maria and Larry were together; it was all very smooth, just like Boris reported including the harp at the sign-in desk on the main floor. It took about an hour and 30 minutes to finish all the tests. We picked up the results on the next day at the appointed time. The main doctor who process the work was very nice and made the process easy.

We will not use MOM again. She was subject to harassment there -- and so was Searcher's fiance. Searcher's fiance was falsely accused of hiding TB as were a lot of other women examined on that day. It appeared MOM had a scam going.

My fiance didn't experience this, but just distasteful harassment.

We'll use on of the other two clinics next time.

If she's anywhere in the Far East, (or goes there on any of the missions) it's possible to get the medical done in Vladivostok prior to the interview.

Slim, can you get me the information on this? Olga has to go to Vladivostok to get her police certificates and this would be great for her to have the medical done there!

I sent an e-mail to Elena... I'll post when I get the reply.

(I forget the specifics now.... kind of blocking all this stuff out as we check it off the list!)
