A Dumb Question Re: AOS Interview Letter

Hi,

I noticed on the AOS interview letter in the title that it says "Request for Applicant to Appear for Initial Interview". What is Initial mean? Does that mean there is more than one interview to get the green card, or is this refer to the entire process?

"Initial" refers to the possibility of more than one interview before the adjustment application is adjudicated.

In most cases, there is only one interview. In some cases, there are more than one.

Yes, fear not! Initial interview with the hope the first will go well and be the only one. Otherwise if they have suspicion that your relationship isn't genuine, I believe they call you in for a second, more intensive interview.

But the interview is a breeze. You will have no problems.

That's the standard verbage - mine said the same. I assume that this way they can call you back for another interview if they are not satisfied with your answers/documents etc. Don't worry about it. Good Luck
