Hey all!!

I've received my AP a while ago. I'm gonna have my fingerprints done on november 17th. I was thinking about going to Canada not too long after that. Has anyone ever traveled with their AP (Travel document)? Is it easy to cross the border back to the USA? Should i wait for my Green card instead?

Green card expiration date: 01/05/2013
Sent ROC package to VSC: 11/16/2012
NOA1: 11/20/2012

Approval: 04/29/2013!!!!

Lots of Canadians have travelled back to Canada using the I-131 Advance Parole document while waiting for the green card to be processed. I don't recall hearing of anyone who has had a problem. :)

Green card expiration date: 01/05/2013
Sent ROC package to VSC: 11/16/2012
NOA1: 11/20/2012

Approval: 04/29/2013!!!!

Take both copies of your AP. They will send you to secondary processing where they will issue you an I-94 and take your biometrics. You may or may not have to pay the $6 fee. They will keep one copy of your AP and stamp and date the second copy, which you will keep. You will then use your copy for subsequent reentries.
