Thanks for this bit, Kiya.

I want to add that I'm so sorry that you're being put through this. All the stress in this process comes from the fact that you never know if you're in the clear, even if your relationship is sound and stable as a rock. I was fortunate enough to have a smooth visa process with my habiba, but who knows if that was all luck and mere coincidence. By the way, my husband (Youness) is also from Kenitra. We've enjoyed the pictures you posted!

Obviously, this kind of situation would make anyone a fighting type - what other choice do you have? Based on that article, it seems like the awareness of the problems within the consular visa system is growing. One can only hope that your contribution to this awareness raising will eventually bring on some change!

Good luck!

Shokran Karotte...it really has brought the fight out like no one has ever seen from me before. I have always been a determined person, but this issue has amplified that in more ways than one. We will not give up, never. Insh'allah we will be together soon. I have not changed a thing in our house, his side of the bed, closet and dresser are still waiting for him, all of the suprises I had ready in regards to the house remain untouched and will be until the day he walks through our door...home.

I had no idea yours is also from Kenitra! I love Kenitra and miss it terribly. I really do love the city, we have such good memories there. 27 days and we'll be making more memories in Kenitra, imta...imta! The first stop for dinner out is our favorite cafe El Meknezzi, they really have wonderful food. Although nothing, absolutely nothing compares to his Mother's couscous...simply perfection!

I will post more pictures of Kenitra when I come back.

Ellis is a very good attorney and you can hire him. He helped us. I tried get others to comtact him for their returned cases. If one is going to spend money on an attorney he is the one to spend it on!!!!!!!!!!!

Also fatimah, you do not need to file another K3 petition! It is a waste of your money. Find out where your I-130 is at. While it is true that the K3 is no longer valid once returned, the BCIS will be reveiwing your I-130 and working with that petition. As I have said before, your attorney must not know much about immigration if he has you file another K3 petition. Ellis is the attorney I would have working for me if I was denied a visa!!!!!!!!!

Hey there Chiquita!! Haven't seen you post for awhile. Whats the news on your case?

Our K3 of course has expired. Our I-130 was sent back to BCIS and they reaffirmed it and returned it to the NVC. NVC schedules the interview date so that is what we are waiting for with the consulate. The CO told my husband when he received the info from America, he will call him. I have no idea what my husband will have to go through again. I am hoping he will be issued the visa when NVC gets us a date. We have been waiting since January 11th for the date. I e-mail NVC every week hoping for a date. So far, nothing.

Another couple who were denied had their second interview and was issued the visa. They saw one of the women at the consulte. She was very rude to them! The recommendation is to accompany your husband/fiancee to the interview for better results. But then, who knows who will be denied and who will be approved??? I am hoping to be there at the consulate waiting outside.

As to those who are fearful of contacting another agency reagrding a denial or for that matter an approval, I say contact everyone you can think of to let them know what is going on!!! How will anything change unless we get the ball rollong for change?? That is what is so good about being an American, we have the choice to get things changed!! I contacted everyone I could think of to get help. Sad to say, it didnt help. However, if there are enough of us to join together to make enough noise, maybe, just maybe there will be a change on our we are treated!!! I feel as though I am in a huge black hole and there is no one who can help. What an outrage!!!

Sorry, just venting a bit.

I just do not understand...what is the problem with these women at the consulate in Casa, WHAT GIVES??

It does not suprise me these women were rude to the ones getting a visa after their file has been sent back. They are evil...I know this know, really evil.

Sounds like they do not want ANYONE to get a visa through them, they not not want ANYONE to be happy and enjoy trying to make then unhappy. I HATE this woman who interviewed my fiance...our proof of relationship is so strong...she should have approved our visa that day, there is no real reason why she sent it back other than she can.

You know? If they are not happy with the post they are assigned, they should have never signed up for that post in the first place, they should just get the hell out of there...they cannot continue to ####### all over our rights and get away with it! It is SO unfortunate it is legal for them to do this.

Insh'allah this woman will not be at the post when/if we get another interview date. I know these posts are for 2 years then they move on if they can to a better post. I also know that reform of the existing system could take years.

I wish you so much luck chiquita...I pray you get an interview date soon...very soon. Please keep us posted as to what happens, you are in my prayers sister.

Hi Barbara, yes I understand what your telling me but both NVC and BCIS suggested we refile the petition for the K3 since we are waiting on the I130 to be approved. If the I130 is approved before we get anything on the new petition then I130 would be much better of course.

You have a right to vent! And that is what we are here for, sodo what you need to feel better. Does the NVC respond to your e-mails? Do you have your representative working on your behalf? I really hope to hear some good news soon from you, you have been waiting for so long.
