Hi All

First time poster.

I have a couple quick questions.

I am a permanent resident (10 year GC). My wife is a USC. We moved from Nova Scotia, Canada to Tampa FL a year ago July after doing a DCF in Montreal.

If my boys (11 & 13) want to live with us, I assume the best way is for my wife to file two seperate I-130's as the boys stepmother.

1) The boys are living in Nova Scotia, but would have to travel to Montreal (closest consulate for I-130's) for a physical and then back for interview with my wife and I flying up from Tampa. Very expensive and time consuming. Could we request physical and interview be done here in Florida ? They come down for summers and holidays anyway.

Any way other than I-130 that I haven't thought of ?

2) Together my wife and I are well past the 125% of poverty level but don't yet have 3 years of tax returns. Will this be an issue ?

Thanks in advance

Visa processing is done outside the US.

As a USC she will have tax info, even if you do not.

Thanks for the info.

Just to clarify

My wife and I don't need to be there for the medical (someone else could take him) but we need to be there for the interview at the consulate in Montreal and at POE ?

Also my wife is a USC (born abroad) and lived most of her adult life in Canada and has never filed US taxes until we moved last year. Will we need a cosponsor or will they take one years tax returns ?

She can back file taxes, current income is the determinant as far as sponsoring is concerned.
