Packet 3 sent from America OK?

We sent our Packet 3 to Paris from the U.S... now we are wondering if that was OK or if it had to be sent from within the beneficiary's country. Unfortunately, we have not been able to reach anyone but a secretary and a voicemail (which is never returned) to confirm they received it or if it is still valid.

Any help on this? Should we be worried?

I hope that what you did will be OK as it is the same thing that I plan to do. I will do it by email though. Have you checked the embassy's website for the IV Unit's email address. I have heard that many enbassy's do in fact respond to email queries.

Here is the link for your consulate. It appears that they do no accept email inquiries.

if it isnt different for each consulate,then no.

most iranians prefer to send their packet 3 to the USC and have them send it to the embassy,because there is no direct mail between US and iran,so there is no way for the petitioner to fill and send I-134 to the iranian partner.

I sent our packet 3 from the US. I brought it to the US so my husband (then fiance) and I could fill out the forms together. When we were done, we sent them to Montreal via USPS. It certainly wasn't a problem for us.

So long as the documents were sent to the correct address, and everything requested was contained within, the point of origin of the documents should not matter. There are many instances like yours, or others where people may have law firms prepare such documents and send them in. So, not a problem for you. Good luck.
