Her passport should have been stamped.

Nope. I have asked her again and she checked. Nothing stamped.

I dont think anything would be stamped in her passport, she was coming from Canada by road. It would had been stamp is she was entering via airport.

End of the day its not bad all she cannot do is use VWP other then that its fine. The officer might have just put that ban noticing that she did not have permanent residence and was not working at the moment, which all raises a flag saying she is good to settle down in any country.

Sean - there are lot of ppl who abuse the VWP so they have to be careful with it.
