Hi everyone. I'm a newbie here in VJ. Me and my fiance have sent our application July of 2010. Never have we received a notification. Later have he thought that he wasn't able to include our pictures. He, then, re-filed and re-sent an application to TX on Oct 23, 2010. Till now, no NOA is being received. Question, was the decision of re-applicaiton ok? At the same time, if our application did have any error, we should have a letter telling us that we have to send other missing requirements, but we never did receive any. Plus, just to be sure sure sure, the requirements listed in http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide are all that we have to include in the packet, right?

Thank you in advance for any help.

K1's used to go to the service center but they changed recently and they all go to one lock box in TX and then supposedly to the least busy service center. To the OP is there a record of the payment being cashed ?

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

No they go to Texas Lockbox. They get sorted at Texas and then sent to CSC or VSC after.

Ignore my last post, I see that they changed things since we filed, good luck to you.

Its amazing how slow some things are with this, and how quickly other things can change.

You didn't say if the check was cashed or not

The time between both applications being sent was only 3 months, chances are your application probably wouldn't even be approved by then. For future reference, if you send in an application to USCIS/Immigration and it's missing something, THEY will notify you that it's missing something in a notice called RFE, request for additional evidence. You can't just send in additional info to be added to your packet NOR can you re-fuile because re-filing doesn't void the 1st application/petition.

So please call the 1-800 number and select the option that says you filed but have a problem with your application, when you speak to someone live, they will first check if they have recieved either one of your aplications.

Lastly,if the check you sent was cashed, ask your bank for a copy and look on the back of the check, your case number should be there.
