Well, that's over 150 views and no contrary arguments, so I guess I'll go ahead and request that Ewok roll us all into one portal, and if possible, leave the flag options. Maybe I'll wait until after the weekend in case there's anyone who feels strongly but wasn't available during the week.

March 1, 2012: Mailed ROC package

March 7, 2012: Tracking says "notice left"...after a phone call to post office.

I don't ever look at the country portals and it doesn't matter to me how it's organized on VJ.

I have never used the portals either....but I like my Welsh flag :(

I think what she's suggesting is that they leave the flags as is but have them (England, Wales, Scotland, NI) 'roll up' to the UK portal.

I wouldn't mind rolling it into one portal, but I want to keep flag flag the way it is. I like being able to find other people from the same country that way! A LOT of them are able to discuss particular shops and things back home and certain foods etc. that are made that way based on regions and not the specific country or the UK as a whole!

OK, so if rolling into one portal means all the flags change is that a deal breaker?

I'm not even asking my husband. I'll fly the Union Jack. Maybe people can add a flag to their signatures...a tiny one preferably...without sparklies.

Technically I could use a Welsh flag as my fiance is currently in Wales, but I don't think he'd like it.

February 25, 2010 - Notice date of NOA2 (read the e-mail notice on his birthday 2/26/2010)

May 12, 2010 - Interview - Approved!!!

May 25, 2010 - received Visa back in time to make May 26th Flight :)

June 9, 2010 - Married!!!

AOS:

November 1, 2010 - Sent AOS, EAD & AP to Chicago via Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation

November 03, 2010 - Delivered 9:57 am, CHICAGO, IL 60603

November 10, 2010 - Received 3 e-mail & text message NOA1s from USCIS

November 12, 2010 - Received 3 NOA1s hardcopy in mail

November 19, 2010 - Received Biometrics appointment letter in mail

December 3, 2010 - AOS - I-485 transferred to CSC

December 13, 2010 - Biometrics Appointment - Milwaukee, WI - 10:00 a.m.

January 10, 2011 - AOS Touch - I-485 - Still in Initial Review

January 19, 2011 - Complete Congresswoman inquiry paperwork and deliver it to Congresswoman's office

January 20, 2011 - Received e-mail & text message saying status updated : USCIS says AOS approved & card production ordered.

January 21, 2011 - Received multiple e-mails/texts regarding updated statuses on both AOS & EAD, some confusing!

January 26, 2011 - Received Legal Permanent Resident card in mail.

ROC:

January 2013 - Filed ROC & Received approval in June 2013

N-400 / Naturalization:

2020 - Started Naturalization ppwk prior to COVID pandemic, and when we couldn't get passport photos at local AAA office - set it aside

March 2021 - Finishing Naturalization ppwk and filing ASAP

October 4, 2022 - ASAP turned into putzing and putting off...and finally filing on 10/4/22.

11/25/22 - Received notice of N-400 Interview on 1/5/23

1/5/23 - Naturalization Interview

2/9/23 - Naturlization Oath Ceremony

I've never used the portal, never thought about it, heck didn't know it was there. I'm neutral for the most part but whatever makes things easier for everyone. Information and advise is welcome and if it helps others have an easier time finding it great.

Okay, here's what I'm going to do as long as Ewok leaves the urls to the flags where they are--

I right click the England flag and get the properties which has the picture at http:// www. visajourney.com/forums/flags/England.gif (I put some spaces in to make it all show up for you)

Then I put it in my signature. Makes a tidy little pic. So ask Ewok if he will leave the little flags online if we want to use them in signatures.

So now when I click "Add Reply" I should have UK flag under my name with England flag in signature.

I know we are bit late adding to this conversation, but I do like the ability to keep our flags as is.. but have the united "UK" portal for the purpose of sharing information, as we do with this UK forum.

Great discussion.. hope it can work out for us.
