Ooooh. Me = Jealous.

You can see my computer screen from pretty mcuh anywhere in the design studio, including down the hallway where my boss and my boss's boss reside. Looks like I need to do some office rearranging!

:star: Cass (bebop the great)

I turned my computer around so noone sees my screen. The back of the monitor faces the aisle. Lucky I have an "L" shaped desk that allows that to happen. I see people coming and they are talking to me before they ever can get close enough to see anything on my screen

Yea, I thought I was spending to much time on no work related things and was so concious of it I figured out if I reorged my work area, it would be a lot better. I rather just get the approval and be back to no stress...but since I decided to go see her, its a lot better.

I can imagine.

I am no where near as into the process as you are. But I was getting all of our petition stuff together during a time when I didn't know the next time I was going to see him was. It made me so anxious and nervous. But now that we have a plane ticket purchased, I feel much more calm. I need to recharge.

Waiting on confirmation of my ticket at moment. I just cant wait. She is sooooo excited (so am I). Its nice to hear her so happy instead of stressed or worried. It was worth it just from the joy in her voice and the 'honey, soon you'll be here with me and we can have our hugs and kisses again'. :)

We all need those 3M privacy screens for the computer monitor. (you know, the ad with the 3 guys on the airplane, the guy in the middle has a laptop and the "book ends" are reading from his screen).

Now you see it, now "they" don't!!!

I saw those on my last layover in the Minneapolis airport.

But dontcha think my boss would get a little suspicious that I'm trying to block out what's on my computer screen? :P

Maybe I'll tell him it's a special cover to protect my sensitive eyes or something.

There is no doubt about it, Craig and I are VERY fortunate. We get to see each other about every month. But this time around, it's been 7 weeks (thanks to the extra donation to the I-129f fee not being in our plane ticket fund) and I think he's as giddy to see me as he was the first time we met. It's nice to have some excitement in our lives instead of worry. It's amazing how all the worries of the visa process just completely dissappear when we are together. Nothing can touch us in our bubble. :)

Andy, I enjoy reading your posts. dont' appologize, we are all here to edify one another. (F):star:

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

What has happened to me?? I used to have morals!! I used to have a life!! I remember jumping on Yodrak one time for being too Confrontational on this site. And look what happened to me, just 2 weeks later. I'm the one posting unnecessary threads, getting involved in controversy, and spending too much time on this site for the wrong reasons.

At first it was cool. I was in the middle of the process, gathering my papers, sending them in, asking questions, learning about IMBRA, waiting for NOA1, getting RFE's, and so on. Now I'm at a stale mate like everyone else. I keep coming to this site to stay connected with the process and vicariously to my fiancee.

Now that I have no more questions until I get the NOA2. I find myself getting too involved with this site and too wrapped up in the process. I'm bored with the normal things about this site and lately have been keeping my interest by proving theory's that don't even matter. Who do I think I am?? what am I doing??

I think I need to take a step back and remember why I'm here. I'm here to get advise from people who have been through what I'm heading into, and I'm here to give back the advise that I've gotten to the newbie.

I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for getting too involved, sorry for controversy, sorry if I've made anyone upset, sorry for being opinionated on others feelings, and sorry for not giving back the way I should be.

For now on I'm back to the basics! to ask and answer questions concerning the I-129F process.

God bless you all!! and good luck!!!!

 Very well put. I don't think anyone could've said it any better.

I'm going the "have a current file open on my computer and I can switch to it on a whim" route. Seems to be working well. Except I think they are starting to notice there have been no changes in a file in the past weeks. :P

:star: Cass (bebop the great)

I still am following the 'lots of paper on my desk makes me look busy' phylosophy. Of course, text messaging on my cell is kinda obvious.

 Doing anything online at work is a big "no-no". And it doesn't matter if you turn your screen away from office traffice or if you have an open file open that you can switch back and forth. Where I work has every known tracking program known to modern man. A couple of years ago they posted the new rules, told everyone what they were and also told what would happen if the new rules were broken. And a group of people were hired to do nothing all day but to monitor what everyone else is doing on their computers. they have a program that will red flag certain sites or if you've been in a gray area too long. To date there have been 10 disciplinary actions and 4 people terminated for misuse of a work computer. So not too many people stray far off the beaten path at my workplace. The bosses are dead serious about goofing off on the computer. Which in the long run is best for me or else I would be doing what you guys are doing.

jasal, I'm with you. There's no way I'd come here at work. The company monitors websites we visit -- and for all I know they have keyboard recorders they activate on certain machines. We've had one guy terminated for going to naughty sites -- and management wouldn't say what kind of naughty site. Want us to be nervous -- keep us from straying. There are lots of robots in our network keeping eyes on us. I bet a lot of workplaces are like ours -- and people don't know it.

If they fire me, I'd like it to be for something I did that was right -- not something like coming here.
