Hey Guys,

My case has now been with the NVC for almost 2 months and I still dont have any automated voice messages available!!!!

I havent had a reply after emailing out my DS-2030 which was 12 days ago now. Ive spoken to an operater about 4 times now.. getting ahead a little more each time. My husband and I havent received any paper work or emails either.. so we are working with Jame's shortcuts.. It doesnt help that hes on active military duty in Afghanistan, we probably will never get any mail, He hasnt gotten some of the letters i sent to him from way back in July if thats any sort of indication! :ot2:

Well I just thought I'd see how everyone else is going, and whether they are experiencing huge delays on automatic voice updates and email replies.. I wish I had known about getting our case expedited.. I guess theres no point because my Husband comes back in 3 weeks right?

Hello Aussie Marine Wife

You don't rely so much on voice or email updates cause they are not reliable with NVC, best way to get updates is to call them and talk to a human being

But for sure only your husband can request an expedition request so when he comes back he should do that

about the ds-2030, have you tried Loto's suggestion:

Subject:

Attn: Supervisor Sue, case #, beneficiary's name, DOB

Body:

Case #

Beneficiary's name

Beneficiary's DOB

Petitioner's name

petitioner's DOB

Attachment:

the scanned signed copy of the ds-2030

_______________________________________

After using that method

I got a reply from NVC that they accepted it in 6 hours

Good Luck

Thankyou! Samoray, but will I have to generate a barcode if I scan the DS-2030 and send it via email because I dont have the actual hardcopy sent from the NVC aparently. And I havent got an automatic reply that they received my emails which Ive sent no less than 4 times lol.. a little too devoted you think? hehe

My email format has been exactly as you pasted, except im wondering whether the delay is because I appointed myself as the choice of agent? I did this because again my husband isnt likely to get his normal mailing address returned to normal for a good few weeks when he gets back so I thought It would be a little bit more reliable if I had myself appointed! (My hubby has pretty much been the bystander responding to 'sign here' tabs along the way heheehe).

I guess there is nothing wrong with appointing yourself but they really suggest that you appoint someone who lives in the US

You know we're almost done with NVC and neither I nor my wife have received any kind of paperwork from NVC in the mail till this moment :D

It's all through email.

I wish it goes fast for you

Good Luck

I MEAN DS-3032!!!!

whatever!!! i copied what you wrote :D look up i put it wrong in all my posts

but we know what we're talking about!!

OK, Im glad Im not alone in sending that damn form off via email more than once lol. I dont think Im into double figures just yet. Ive emailed it, and about ten minutes ago I scanned the original with the barcode and am trying again! We shall see.

Waiting to hear if our expedite is going through with London, so there might be a bit of a delay with that. If it cuts down wait time at the Embassy - I'll gladly stay at the NVC til December!

I wrote that bold so that maybe someone else might benefit from it theres a few people who might stress about what the heck a DS-2030 is haha :P I know you and I know what we mean haha. Ok well im going to try this method you suggested.. but you didnt answer my initial question, did you have to generate your own barcode when you scanned it? Thanks for your help I apreciate it.. and the fact that youve gotten that far without paperwork is a good thing to know :)

Ok here it is, some people get accepted without the bar-code, so give it a try, fill the form print it out, sign it and date it, put the case # at the top of it, then scan it again, then send it in that email form.

if you wanna generate your own bar-code, it's ok

In my situation i was using the normal version without a bar-code and i sent it 4 times like that

then we received the bar-coded version in email

I tried two more times with the bar-coded version with no avail

Finally i sent the bar-coded version using that method and i got a reply very fast
