USC friend is on parole and recently married - can they apply for AOS?

Question for a friend - he is the USC and his wife is petitioner. He is on parole - what extra documents, clearance will he need in order to complete the AOS for his wife? She is currently in the US as well. Thanks for any advice!

05-28-10 Married!!!! <3

06-16-10 I693 Medical prepared and sealed

07-14-10 AOS Packet couriered to Chicago

07-16-10 AOS Packet received! Signed by S. Bush :)

07-23-10 CHECK$ CA$HED!!!!! So happy to see money leave my bank account!!!!

07-24-10 NOA received in the mail for AOS/EAD and hubby received AP for me :)

07-26-10 TOUCHED!!!

08-06-10 EAD & Alien Petition TOUCHED!!!

08-24-10 Service request submitted for Biometrics Letter.. waiting, waiting...

09-01-10 2nd service request call put in - Dallas ASC backed up and everything is on hold! :(

If he is the USC then he is the petitioner for the I-130. His wife is the petitioner for the I-485.

The criminal history of the I-130 petitioner is irrelevant 99% of the time. No additional documents or any sort of clearance would be required. Exceptions would be convictions of crimes covered by the Adam Walsh Act (mostly sex crimes involving minors), or crimes involving immigration law. Whether he's on parole or probation is not relevant for immigration.

USCIS is much more concerned about the criminal history of the immigrant than they are about the USC petitioner.

12/15/2009 - K1 Visa Interview - APPROVED!

12/29/2009 - Married in Oakland, CA!

08/18/2010 - AOS Interview - APPROVED!

05/01/2013 - Removal of Conditions - APPROVED!
