Hi, based on my experience, I didn't received a letter from Manila consulate, my fiance (hubby now) sent me a copy of the Notice of approval from the USCIS and then set an interview appointment and downloaded the forms that i need..

Why dont you call the National customer service center telephone line ( 1800-375-5283) and ask all of your questions.

I totally agree.Ive already come this far and i dont want all my waiting pain to just go to waste. Thanks for your honest comment Kristy,i really appreciate it.blush.gif

base on my own experience, i did not wait for the letter from the embassy. my fiance (now my hubby) schedule the interview a week after he got the letter from NVC with our MNL case number. that's all you need for the medical exam but you can even use your NOA2 to show for the medical and the email verification of your interview date. The letter from the embassy arrived the day before i left for the US. we got our NOA2 march 4, 2010, NVC letter 4 days after then he sched the interview after a week .... march 29-30 medical exam, april 8th interview (i could make it earlier than that if not because of my job)...got the letter from the embassy on may 6th 2010 and i left for US on the 7th of May 2010. as long as you have your MNL case number...i think it's ok to schedule your interview.

I was just talking about my own experience because postal services in the philippines really sucks. if you will wait for the letter from the embassy, you are going to wait at least 2 months. my husband sent me a scanned copy of the NVC letter and the NOA2 after he scheduled the interview. That's all i have as proof that my case has been approved and my case has been sent to US embassy manila. As far as i can remember, my husband called twice because the first time he called (which was 2 days after he got the NVC letter), they did not allow him to schedule an interview because our documents hasn't arrived yet. It was on the 5th day after he got the NVC letter that he called again and that time we were allowed to schedule the interview. So this might be a hint that if they can locate your documents, that means they can let you sched an interview but if your papers hasn't arrived in the embassy yet, they would not let you sched the interview. Well, that's what my case went...i still think it's case to case basis. You may wanna try your luck if you wanted to be with your loveone soon... :) Goodluck on your journey!

I agree with this too! some of the applicants didn't even receive the letter from manila...i know a few. Like i said, postal services in the Philippines really sucks! no wonder. Someone sent me a christmas card from last year and until now i still didn't get it.

Chinook and I never received any notification from the NVC about our case. Also, we never received any notification from the U.S. Embassy Manila about our case. The only time we were notified is a few minutes after I made an interview appointment for Chinook when the Embassy emailed us with the interview appointment confirmation.
