Hello all!

Got my biometrics appointment letter in the mail today. Was wondering if anyone has done a walk in at the Philadelphia service center, or heard if it has been done? Any tips, days times that are better etc.

Also curious to see peoples thoughts on doing biometrics sooner is a good idea to save a little time? From looking at other posts and timelines it seems like a mixed bag. Some people get EAD's sooner, some don't.

Many thanks!

Why would they stamp my passport at a biometrics appointment? Am I missing something?

They don't. They stamp your appointment letter as "proof." I don't think walk-ins speed up the process in most cases, but it doesn't hurt! We tried for a walk-in but were denied. In our case, it wouldn't have made it go any faster because our local office was as slow as molasses. Woop for letters! Good luck!
