My husband wants me to be with him this Christmas so is there a big chance for me to get a tourist visa? Our CR1 is on process and we might be getting an approval anytime soon. What are your thoughts about it?

Thanks! God bless! :)

It won't happen, you have a US Citizen husband and could bypass the CR-1 by AOS if you are allowed in and you're from a High Fraud country.

Since you're in the process how can you prove strong ties to return to the Philippines.

BTW, since you're asking this I assume you didn't have a good reason to request for Expedite?

Small chance

Agreed.

You already have a pending petition to immigrate to the U.S. I really don't see the point in applying for a tourist (non-immigrant) visa.

I understand you want to be with your husband, especially during the holidays. However, you, along with everyone else, must wait their turn during this process.

Good luck with your journey!

I read from the Manila US Embassy that there's a possibility to be granted a tourist visa but a strong ties should be presented. So, it's really a no no. It's possible. It's just that he wants me to be there this Christmas. But anyway, we sorted things out already and decided that we will wait for the immigrant process to be done.

I was curious if someone get in successfully.

Thanks everyone! Have a wonderful night/day!
